Les usines abandonnées sont des bâtiments visités par des explorateurs urbains en quête de sensations fortes. Ils visitent les bâtiments, l’intérieur qui était autrefois rempli de personnes, les équipements et les machines qui fabriquaient leurs produits.
Elles sont souvent remplies de graffitis, de machines abandonnées et de matériaux qui ont été collectés au fil du temps. On peut trouver des usines abandonnées dans de nombreux pays du monde, mais elles sont surtout situées dans les régions industrialisées, car elles sont plus susceptibles d’avoir l’électricité. Les usines abandonnées sont facilement accessibles par les transports publics, surtout tard dans la nuit, lorsque les routes sont désertes.
